At the Clarion Content we are delighted to have the opportunity to talk to so many of Durham’s interesting and invested citizens. We meet makers, artists, do-ers, movers and shakers of all sorts.
In this our 41st episode of Sights on the City, we talk to Dan Enarson, the co-owner of Pour Taproom Durham. They are underneath the Unscripted Hotel facing on to Major the Bull’s Plaza. Like many of the Durham entrepreneurial come lately’s, they are inspired by Durham’s ethic and trying to live up to it.
Enarson, who has a background as an international aid worker, told me in our interview, they sourced all the hardwood for their place from North Carolina, commissioned local artist and friend of the Clarion Content, Darius Quarles, to do original artwork (after finding him on Instagram), partnered with Pizzeria Toro’s ownership on a food menu, sourced so much of the beer locally, and even the lettering of the beer signs was done locally.
Film and production by Josh Hardt.
